351w pushrod length
I have a standard deck height block and with a set of Procomp 210 heads. The cam is a Comp XE274 flat tappet with Comp 1.6 roller rockers. I have read that these heads will require a longer pushrod than normal. Anyone have a length recommendation or will the advertised Comp pushrods work? Thanks!

You can buy or make a push rod length checker , which is just an adjustable pushrod.
Look around the engine section and search - pushrod length and also valve train geometry and also mid lift geometry. there is a ton of info there. With those aftermarket heads you may be able to get a good geometry at Mid lift. Thats a good thing. Also it explains a lot about losing lift due to bad geometry and deflection. |
