351w vs 351c For Pure Stock Circle Track Car

Hey guys I have been trying to find all the info for what would be the best engine for my 1965 Ford galaxie pure stock circle track car. The rules are must be a small block, must contain 15" of vaccum at 1000 rpms, must have steel heads, stock manifolds, stock intakes, Must be 2 barrel carb holley 4412. Port and polishing is aloud and I believe stroking is aloud also. I was just wondering what you guys thought would be the best engine for my application I have access to both engines. I no there pros and cons to both engines but I wanted to get all the info I can befor I make my decision. If you guys would please help me out buy telling your opinions on which engine would be best That would be Great I dont want to take the easy way out and go with a chevy sense I am a Ford Lover lol

I'd go with the windsor, it's lighter and will give you a little better weight distribution.

Well I don't no if my idea is a good one but I'm kinda leaning towards the 351c and putting 2v closed chamber Aussie heads with a small cam possibly a rv cam and port the manifolds and put the 4412 Holley carb and I'm planning on doing a few things to help the bad oiling system the Cleveland has I would think with the Aussie heads and rv cam with 410 gears would compete with most 350 Chevys what has to follow the same rules I have to but this is just my opinion what do u guys think?

I'd run the 351c as well, since its all stock, if you were going to be in a class where you could do more mods i'd reccomend the windsor because they are obviously cheaper to work on aftermarket parts are cheaper for the windsor so if it were in a class to where you could do more mods i'd reccomend the windsor but in this case go with the cleveland. And a healthy well tuned 351c should spank a healthy well tuned chevy 350 anyday of the week
