ok let me just start by saying this board seems to be very good. i have tried another forum and no-one there was able to help with my problem.
ok i have recently replaced the engine in my 1991 bronco with a 351w engine e40d transmission. it starts fine, no problem there but after it runs for a few seconds it lopes a couple of times and then dies. it was doing this before i pulled the motor. one thing that might help is that when i rebuilt the motor i noticed that one cylinder had busted rings and that a lot of oil was coming out of the top of the motor. also it had a flat lobe on the cam. i replaced and properly rebuilt the engine and now it sounds really mean with an edelbrock performer cam in it. i have replaced the MAP, TPS, IAC, ECT, ACT, and the engine control module but it is still doing exactly the same thing. i have also replaced the fuel pump, filter, regulator, and relay, and i am completely stumped. i have tried disconnecting every sensor(one at a time) to see if the default values would keep it going but to no avail.
it starts fine every time but it won't stay running. please help
