352 to a 351
hey im new to the forum and just had a few questions.
I bought my first vehicle back in September, a 1965 ford custom cab pick up just wanted to switch out the original 352 for a 351 Cleavland. i wanted to know if the motor mounts were the same and if it will hook straight up to the original transmission.if not i have an old c6 in the backyard i can use on the Cleavland. but if i use the Cleavland id like to know if the tranny is compatible with the truck. thanks for your help Register now (free) or login to remove ads |

Hi,
The 352 is an FE engine, & uses a different bolt pattern then the 351c, the Cleveland uses ford small block mountings 351W. FE engines are, 332, 352, 361edsel, 360truck, 390, 406, 410, 427, 427cammer, 428 reg, CJ, & SCJ, I'm not a big fan of these engines, but that in no way means there not good engines, either in stock form or modified, they perform very well.
