The 355 in my Camaro
I just run the numbers for my 355 on Dyno 2000.
The heads are World Products with 1.94in / 1.50 ex valves and the comp is 10.1 : 1. The carb is still the feedback Q-Jet on an Edelbrock intake, there is a chip for this combo from Scoggin Dicky in an ECM recommended by them. The cam is Crane Powermax 2020 for comp controlled vehicles, lift at the valves are 0.427in / 0.451 ex. Exhaust is small tube headers by Edelbrock into 3" Flowmaster, no cat. RPM...................Power(fly.)................. ..Torque(fly.) 2000.......................148.................... ..........389 2500.......................187.................... ..........393 3000.......................225.................... ..........394 3500.......................266.................... ..........399 4000.......................301.................... ..........395 4500.......................327.................... ..........382 5000.......................342.................... ..........359 5500.......................343.................... ..........327 The motor rarely goes over 4500rpm. I,ve tried different cams but others don,t give this torque low down. Anyone got any comments? Register now (free) or login to remove ads |

Hi Malc, sounds like a real torque monster. I'd be running 3.08 gears cuz with all that torque it'll make a hell of a highway cruise. Say, how far are you for the autobahn or do you have fast highways were you live in Spain.

We got autopistas here and we can do 120kph around 80mph.
My rear gears are 2.90s but I got a B/M trans with a lower first and a taller overdrive.Pulls away pretty hard and snatches the tires. |
