36 ford rear wishbones
I was recent told that in building an 32 ford framed car with a rear Model A
crossmember and spring and a quickchange rearend, that you need to use 36
ford rear wishbones which mount inward of the backing plates as opposed to
1940 type wishbones that mount right at the backing plates. If So, WHY??
the 40 style rear has spring mounts as part of the axel housing and should work with the setup you discribed. the 35/36 rear wishbone has the spring mount on the end of the wishbone so this lets you use any rear you want and still have buggy spring and wishbone type rearend setup. I hope that helps you some, you might have to look at both to get a better idea. good luck..
