366 same dimensions as 454??

I have a 366 bbc available to use as a mockup for my frame build.

I plan on using a 454 for my rod but I don't have one yet.

Is the 366 the same size as the 454 GEN VI?

Thanks.

The 366 is a tall deck block(10.200" deck height), the 454 is short deck(9.800"), a .400" difference. Sides of block, motor mount area, oil pan area are all the same but the taller block puts the heads higher and wider in the engine bay so it is no good for exhaust fabrication or intake manifold/valvecover clearances to surrounding objects. One plus would be that if it clears everything on a tall deck block, the short deck block will fit too, but be aware it will change the exhaust placement some.

Thanks Eric.

I won't be using it for exhaust mockup.

I've got the back half of my frame almost done and now I want to start on the front so I can get the chassis rolling.

A pic of the back half below......
