37 Ford PU Cab Windshield opening rust

Hi Guys, I've searched for a question similar to this and didn't find anything, my apology if I'm covering old ground.

I have a 37 Ford PU that's in terrific shape except for some pitting in the lower cowl panels and the windshield recess area of the cab. The exterior portion of the recess is excellent but the inside radius is pitted badly and rusted through in places.(this is the recessed curve that the windshield frame seats to when the window is retracted)

Is there a reliable way to repair/replace this section without tossing the cab? I have flat/mild curve mig experience but I've never attempted a deep recess or compound curve. There doesn't appear to be a supplier for a cutout replacement...any suggestions or tips?

Thanks very much, I've learned a great deal from the forum.
