Hey Slider, Are you looking for hidden hinges? If so page 133 of the Dec. issue of Street Rodder has several. It's Carolina Custom Hot Rod Parts. Or are you looking for original repalacement parts? The ones on mine are good but somewhat pitted. I've been trying to decide wheather to use them or go with hidden hinges. Hidden are much more expensive but do look nice. But I like to have some original chrome here and there too. Decisions, decisions. What do you think? Can they be made? HHMMMM! Maybe they could. My second oldest boy is in machining class maybe he could make us some. Hey HK any ideas how we can work on on this project. I've never thought about making some.

38, i think i want to find orginals trunk hinges. I have decided to sell this project, and it would be much easier to sell for a good price with the orginal hinges. It is completly stock car. I got it at a steal, and really would like to continue on my 57 chey p.u. and find a Chev C.O.E. project. Gonna sell the truimp hard tail springer project as well. I finally got a clear Wa state tittle to the 37 in my name. It cost me about 260.00. But it is legally mine now. Makes them easier to sell that way.Car has surface rust only with allmost no cancer in it. Orginal engine /trans and rear. Cool sucide doors on the rear. Keep in touch and please let me know if you get a lead on the trunk hingles.

Sounds like some cool projects. Even the Triumph, drool drool <img src="graemlins/drool.gif" border="0" alt="[drool]" /> Oh! excuse me. I'll be right over to help you. Give me about 2 and 1/2 days to get there Seriously if I find any hinges, I'll be glad to give you a shout.

38, I sent Slider a PM about it and yes your hinges can be made and I'm sure your son could do a bang up job. You could use aluminum or steel, but the steel would have to be painted or sent off to be Chromed, the aluminum could just be polished up to a shine. It would be rather simple to make those due to their simple desighn and operation. Let me know and PM me and I'll tell you how.

Hk this just might be a fun and an interesting project. I'll check my original hinges again and see how pitted they are. I just might give you a shout. You've got me excited about this idea. Thanks Slider for starting this thread.
