hi, anybody ever hopped-up one of these ?? i want to do this one as if it was 1966 and look orig but go fast. ant ideas, answers ?

I have a 36 Terraplane. It is set up as a cruiser, Mustang II, SBC-700r-S truck rear. All externals are stock looking. Only real modification is smaller headlight pods. 39 Ford t-laights, Ribbed bumpers. Wheels&tires.

SBC fits like a glove, with block hugger headers. Radiator is a GM cross flow mounted on it's side and modified filler tube. 700r trans fits in X-member with just a small amount of frame mod. Front suspension is a copy of Fatman Fabs offering. S-truck rear is hung on custom made leaf springs. This got rid of the Jeep type metal to metal spring hangers. Now has big rubber bushings. Rides great!

hello all, i have been looking into putting a 57-67 6 [235] cyl and 2 spd power glide this g.m. should go in ?????.. any hint,s seen it/done it before ?? i found out a sml blk and auto will drop in w/minor mods. i know i can hop-up this blue flame six. cheap,lots of parts and if i am not mistaken you could interchange heads and cranks ect... w/gmc truck motors.??? this is how i thought i might do it circa 66-67. the 1 thing i would like to know is, what is an easy/cheap rear end swap i can do for this 37 terraplane coupe w/235/6 cyl 2 bbl carb auto trans open drive shaft orig, need a rear end . orig look like ford, 3rd member [ugly bucket]. this could take this summer and next. i want to get all my ingrediants for this combo before i bite in and dismantle my coupe. thanks to all who did and will reply. dermott.
