37 willys
I need to find out how the hood latch works on a 37 willys. The handle with willys on it is on the hood, but there is nothing on the inner fenders to act as a catch. Do you pull up on the handle to unlatch the hood, or do you push down on it? If I knew how it worked, I could fabricate something. The handle is spring loaded in the up position, so I assume the handle is pushed down, but I can't figure anyway to make it work this way. I've only seen one other 37 to compare with, but he had a bungee cord to lock the handle, so he doesn't how it works either. Can anyone help me???
