38 caddy door handles
I need to know how to remove the inside door handles. I can't find any pin or spring when I move the escution. what would be the proper way without damageing the handle?
This is a 38 Caddy, Model 65, 4 door, touring sedan.

My inclination would be to look for a roll pin holding the handle on. It may be further back than you think and still can't see even moving the plate. I redid a 1938 Plymouth interior that had handles attached with roll pins. Also most of the older jags I used to work on were held on that way.
