I'm putting a Chev. engine in my '38 Ford.I would
like to use the original ford radiator and block off two off the outlets. There seems to be enough capacity. Has anyone done this? Or do you know of any later model radiator that might work. I can't see spending $500 for a Walker. In the old car mags from the sixties I've seen pictures of this. Thanks |

Yes it can be done and will work out as long as your old radiator is good,we also used to find them from six cyl.Fords, they only had one upper and lower hose outlet. You could also have yours recored.
Back in the 50s 60s there weren't the choices we have today so most everyone ran the stock radiator with what ever the engine choice was from nailhead Buicks,Caddys,Olds, and early Hemi Chryslers. Heating wasn't a big problem, steering and stopping was another story. |
