Question "38 Ford shock brackets

Has anyone built brackets for tube shocks on the
front of '37 to '40 Ford. It looks like you could
use a piece of 1/4" steel with a slight bend in it, bolt to the frame and drill a hole at the top
for the shock bolt to mount to it.
Thanks

I don"t see any reason why that would not work.
