.....they look the same although I didn't actually try it. My 38 std coupe had a painted one and I replaced it with the stainless frame from a 2 door sedan . Later I picked up a 37 4 door sedan and the frame looks the same but didn't measure it up, but my bet is it is identical.

Should Work

I have a '39 standard sedan, which is basically the same as the '38. I picked up a '37 windshield frame at a swap meet for $20 and had it rechromed $350.
There are some small differences - basically the location where the top and bottom frame pieces join. one joins in the middle of the frame the other joins a little lower. The '37 frame fit my '39 without a problem - other than getting the damn rubber to seal, but I had that issue with my '39 frame.

The hardest part of the deal was finding the little stainless clips that cover the join line. You can find them for a '35 - '36 but the dont fit the '37-'39 frame that well. I ended up having to narrow a pair of '36 clips to fit. Its okay but not as nice as I would like.
