If this is a daily driver and you are going carburetor, I might be thinking about finding a complete mid-70's Duster and using everything out of it. Graft the subframes onto the 38 frame. If you were thinking EFI, then a later front-motor, rear-drive Mopar of some kind. I'm not a Mopar guy, so I don't know what they have made recently that qualifies. What I would not do is to piece the thing together with parts from here, parts from there. I like to source everything from one donor. Maybe a late model hemi truck.

A friend of mine is just finishing a 38 Plymouth. Used a Dakota front clip.

yea that would be kool one of those 5.7 liter hemis, or 6. Something hemi, im only a chevy guy, so i dont know much about em, or find a 440 mag if you like big blocks, or a 427 hemi one of these wicked police interceptors were huge on performance. 727 torque flights are very durable transmissions, or if you wanna save gas find a later model truck 1 ton trucks, 4 speed electronic over drive. i dont know any thing about gear ratios but what tech inspector showed was probably right, if your wanting the Throttle bodys, those on later model trucks, were done by holley. 360s, 318s, and the V6s
