my future motor idea for my malibu is a blown 383 or just all motor, would sbc400 heads work okay or good for either one?

In my opinion, if you built the motor to operate either way, it wouldn't be optimized for either way. Choose one.

I also wouldn't begin a blower motor build or any other kind of build with smog heads. Like I said, that's just my opinion.

In addition to what Tech said......a blower motor needs as much flow as you can give it, why spend a ton of money on a blower set up and then use a crappy set of stock heads? Normally aspirated is the same but not as critical. I think most of the guy's will agree that at least half your horse power is made with a good set of cylinder heads..... that fit your application.
