Scoggins-Dickey or Jim Pace Pontiac is probably your cheapest source for brand new, 0 time, fully GM Warranted 383 and you can talk with them to sort of customize your motor (cash regestier starts to spin faster). The good deals are in their packaged motors, so go online and look at all the options available. Anyone outside your arms reach may not be trustworthy.

I have heard good things about Revolutionary performance, they have reasonably priced motors, and they are an AFR dealer. With a set of AFR 195cc heads on a 383 with matched parts and 10:1 compression you could easily attain 475 hp.
