Why yes, yes they are. This guy's all over the map. Says he's gonna get aluminum heads in another thread and just started one about turbos.

Cam specs? So we dont have to search and look it up please. Compression ratio? Valve size?

And again 305 heads on a 383??? Are you on crack?

Your very limited detail of the parts doesn;t allow a good estimate of the power output of the engine.

One critical are is the port flow and valve sizes of the (305) cylinder heads.

What I define as a souped up hot rodded 305 head for a 350 may be very different than what you really mean and what you got there.

In stock form a "305 head" creates has very modest power.
What you do with it from there to improve it, makes or breaks the motors power potential. Some of the 305 heads can be made to make good power with work. Some others are more limited.
What is the casting number?

If the "305 heads" are not generously ported with larger valves don;t expect huge power.

Another is the compression ratio.

you make no mention of the exhaust system

more detail on the camshaft.

Fbird, he doesnt mention the cam specs, compression, or exhaust, because mostly likely the engine doesnt exist. And he just going to keep throwing out different combos til he feels satisfied.

383 hp

I've been doing engines/cars/racing/dyno's/carbs/injection/ignition systems of all kinds for more than 50 years and along the way have learned a few things from reading/doing/asking questions, etc. I'll gladly try to help anyone that wants to learn. I don't have all the answers but can usually direct them to someone that does have the answer. However, I really resent anyone wasting my (our) time when their too damn lazy to learn on their own and only want to BS someone.

(Jumped down off my soapbox)

Ron
