383 knock

My names Robert Ockert this is my first post so help me out. I have a 84 short bed with a 383 stroker and a turbo 400 transmission. I just bought it about 3-4 months ago. It runs ****ing beautifully, but there is this knock sound coming from what i think its coming from were the transmission and block meets, it almost sounds like the flywheel is slapping something. But when it gets warmed up it kinda skips the knock at times like it will click then quit the click and so on. So if any one has any answers or anything hit me up.

Welcome

I had a similar knock sound with my '66 years ago and the flywheel (or flex plate, auo trans) was cracked between 2 of the large circles and causing the knock. Worth a look...

Welcome!

Could be a problem with the flex plate.
