The e-tec heads don't look the most impressive on paper but they just flat out make power from everything I've read. I wouldn't mind using the Edelbrock 2204 cam but it seems a little agressive and I don't know what it would make down low, say 1500-2000 RPM.
9.5:1 is too weak for the Ebrock cam. It needs 10.0 to 11.5 SCR. Makes power from about 2800-6500. Dynamic compression ratio with that cam and 9.5 would make 7.96:1 DCR, leaving half a point on the table, compared with the proper camshaft. Intake closes at 44 if you want to verify it for yourself.
