383 small block chevy

im building a 383 sbc for my 85 Iroc camaro and was wondering if the tuneport setup off the 305 that was in it will fit and work on the 383?im hoping for 425HP(fingers crossed).the block is a 69-79 350 thats bored 30 over and its a 010/020 find.Any thoughts will be a big help, thanks Rob

You won't reach it with a stock tune port. It's airflow is Eqiv. to a 2 barrel carb as it was designed for mileage and low end torque.

how about if the throttle body is changed?

It's going to take a lot more than a throttle body swap. The runners themselves aren't very big. There are aftermarket TPI runners and intake manifold bases that you can buy but I don't know if they will be able to get you there either.

ok thanks guys my original plan was to go carb but i didnt want to hack up the wiring since the car was F.I. so now i have to see if anyone makes a wiring harness that will plug right up to go carb.thanks again guys
