383 stroker cherry red header pipes on the driver side just 2 inner pipes

I have a 383 stroker that was running fine then I noticed the 2 inner pipes on header were glowing red. It this cause by timing or tuning issues? Any info will be helpful. Thanks

Got the pcv connected to the intake instead of the base of the carb? That would do it.

You need to get a timing light on the engine and see what its doing. Then get a lean rich gauge hooked up to the o2 sensors so you know its running rich and not burning it self up setting there. Also dont idle engine for any length of time. Not good for performance engines.

Whats the engine temp look like. And does it have mech fan or electric. Are the electrics running often?

Check the fuel filter i bet its clogged and making the engine run lean and missfire down the pipes will make then hot as hell. Sounds like its lean to me.

If its been sitting for a while i would check the tank and see if its got a bunch of trash in it. Since the hot running makes me think the mechanicals are ok but fire or fuel is off.
