I normaly deal with fords and really dont know anything about chevys. I would like to find a used or second hand flat top forged pistons for a small block chevy 383. The compression height needs to be 1.425, .927pins, 4.030bore. Anyone know where to find some deals on chevy pistons? I'm doing a budget motor so I want to stay away from custom made pistons.

You could try ebaymotors.com, they have anything from carbs to oil pans and everything in between. So there should be pistons on there for sure, im not positive how good of deals they are though, you'll just have to keep an eye out for some.

There are always sets on ebay. If you don't need forgings, there are always deals on Keith Black Hypers. I've bought over ten sets of new ones in the last year. Most around $100.-140.00 per set. Much cheaper than my regular wholesaler! Just keep your eye open.
