383 Stroker Help

Hello,

I am trying to build a 383 stroker and need some advice on cam selection. I got a pair of Patriot Performance SB-Chevy 225CC Freedom Series Heads with 64cc chambers. I plan on using roller rockers and a hydraulic flat tappet cam but cannot find anything on what i should use. I have 383 kit already with -12cc flat top pistons. they clame to have a compression ratio of 9.9:1. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Welcome!

What is the application (% street vs. % strip)? What car, intake, trans, and gears?

You really need to do the math for your static compression ratio based upon your final bore, stroke, deck height, head gasket, pistons, and heads. You don't want to be guessing here. Google "static compression ratio calculator" and plug away.

Post back with these key details & you'll get some help.
