I would like all the information i can get on 383 stroker motors.

What kind of horspower could i expect from a completely stock engine for a basis?

What will it do to gas mileage?

What else than the basic kit (crank, pistons, rings, rods) would I need?

What kind of machine work are we talking?

Thank you in 6* of advance.

Go to enginefactory.com they make crate 383's. Call them up and ask for one of their sales videos its pretty cool. Not that I am saying to buy one of their crate engines but there is some good info on how they build them. Good luck

According to what rod you use, you may encounter rod-to-camshaft interference you will need to address. You also may have some crank-to-block interference. You will need the mains on the crank turned to fit the 350 block. You will also need the flexplate and damper from the 400.

383's are great engines - you will love them. I attached some typical dyno results so you can see expected power levels and parts required.
