3970010 Block Please Help!!!

i've got a 3970010 GM block. The Suffix code is TP. I can't find that code on anyones list....Please help me find out what i'm working with. Thanks.

Are you referring to a suffix on the casting?

Are you referring to a suffix on the casting, or the suffix on the serial number on the front right side of the block?
Below are the stock applications for the 010 block:
3970010....302.....69....4...Z-28 Camaro
3970010....327.....69....2...Trucks and industrial
3970010....350...69-80...2 or 4

If what you are talking about is the suffix on the serial number, then that just refers to the transmission and accessories that came with that specific engine. I have lost my list, but Super Chevy had an extensive list of the codes for nearly all the engines. I'll keep looking for my list, and if I find it I will post the results.

I didn't see TP either. Here's a link to check. Maybe check to make sure there's not 3 letters instead of 2.

NastyZ28 shows TPB and TPC, both are 1971 307ci 200hp out of a C1500 van or bus chassis.
