3rd Generation El Camino - Ride Lowering & Rear Tire Upsizing
Hello again,
I would like to change the tires currently on the El Camino. I'm thinking of putting 16x7 wheels on the front with 225/55-16 tires, then 18x8 wheels on the rear with 245/55-18 tires. I'd also like to drop the ride height a couple inches if possible (though I'm not sure increasing the tire size and dropping the ride height is a great idea, haha).
The obvious solution for me would bee to replace the suspension with coilovers, that way I can adjust the rear end so that the vehicle will remain level despite having a significantly higher rear end. This would also allow me to drop the overall height of the vehicle if possible. My main question is this: Are there any potential problems that I should be concerned with? Or does this sound like it could work?
Thanks,
Niko
