4.0 L Ford no timing marks???

May have messed in my hat, pulled the heads off my 4.0 Ford to replace head gaskets and found that the brilliant engineers forgot to include timing marks on any gears. Ford says I need a 500.00 cam aligning tool to reset the cams. Is there any way to get around it? HELP Thanks

-4.0L CAM POSITIONING KIT-

Just a reminder, OTC makes FORD SPECIAL SERVICE TOOLS and often offers the same tools through their OTC BRAND which saves you big bucks.

idea

talk to a local parts store, they may be able to get you the tools to line them up. i'm a ford tech and the kit can be found for under 300.00 at times.

It would be your best bet to take it to the blue oval store and get it done.
