4.3 TBI to 350 Small Block

Hello everyone. Classic engine swap for an S-10 Blazer but I've heard a lot of mixed things regarding motor mounts. I have the 4L60 Transmission on my 89 Blazer, with a 4.3 TBI engine. Problem is that I want to go bigger since all the 4.3s in my area vanish as soon as they go out to the public. Does anybody know if I can use the 4.3s motor mounts or would I have to dig around online or at an auto parts store to find something? Could I possibly get some off another truck and slap them on?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm new to the modification scene and really don't want my Blazer going belly up again.

It all depends if you want a bolt in solution or a self fab solution.I just use the stock 4.3 mounts and bolt them to the V8 and bolt the engine to the trany. Then I line it up and fab what I need to mount it to the frame.I don't think it matters, but maybe you should include the year of the truck.Hope this helps. Sorry,I guess I am not fully awake,I reread your post and see the year model.

Get a copy of these two books:

Chevrolet S-10 Truck
V-8 Conversion Manual

Chevrolet TPI & TBI
V8 Engine Swapping
http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Che...I_TBI_V-8.html

This isn't the only way to do this conversion, but these books are very through on what you will run into. They are available from Jags That Run as well as most any on-line hot rod catalog store such as Jegs or Summit.
