Question 4.3 V6 Coil Spring Rate

Looking for advice on the coil spring rates for a 4.3 V6 set-up. Where could I find this info.

Front Coil Springs

Installing a 305 into a 1988 GMC S-15 truck short bed. Started out as a 2.5 with auto trans. Plan to keep it as an automatic but switch shifter to floor. I figure the 4 cylinder springs would be to weak. So, what about it, 4.3 liter V-6 springs that is.

I have read posts on other forums stating that some guys are putting 502's in S-10 trucks & are using the stock springs. Cant tell you what forums but it you do a search on the web I'm sure you'll find some of the posts.........joe
