4.3 v6 distributor to non computer control

I am installing an 86 chev 4.3 v6 (rebuilt) carb version with edelbrock intake and carb in a 51 Willy's 4x4. The engine was originally carbed and I have the distributor. It has 2 leads, a 4 wire (black, black, white, green) off the vac advance side and a 3 wire (brown, black, pink) off the opposite side. How do I convert this to non-computer control? I have read several posts of people trying to convert different distributors for this application but haven't found anything to describe this change. It sounds like I may have a fairly rare distributor.

not really a rare distributor.. for a brief amount of time, Chevy computer controlled carburated engines.. really it consisted of the computer controlled ignition, and the carb has a mixter control solenoid... dump both things, and you eliminate the computer controls.. pretty sure the computer adjusts the timing control with that distributor but I could be wrong... standard 1 wire hookup distributors do exist for the 4.3

Converting 86 4.3 v6 dist to non computer

I just got back from the parts store and it really looks like I could put a new module on from an older non-computer distributor, and hook the green and white pickup wires direct to the new module and be good to go. My distributor already has vacuum advance. Electrically it looks like the electrical should be the same then as the older V8s w/o computers but with ignition modules. What do you guys think?
