I have a 4.3 in a 99 van.It starts on cooler low humid days but will not start on hot humid days.Have changed computer.Plugs appear to look like they are running rich and look wet after removal after attempting to start.Once it does start it runs fine.Has fairly new plugs wired and cap /rotor.Any Ideas

In my truck, which is a 92 chevy silverado, it had developed a leaky door seal. Everytime it would rain or have high humidity, the radio wouldn`t work. I pulled the radio out and found the power wire was not suppling any power at all. I further traced the wire to the fuse panel which I had to remove and clean. It kinda sounds like in your case the ignition is either not sparking or it`s too weak to fire it off, the excessive fuel on the plugs can be a indication of this. You may also want to check the vacuum signal to the map sensor. Make sure the vacuum line isn`t broken or plugged, also make sure it`s pulling vacuum. Do a spark test, if the spark is yellow it`s weak and there`s a problem in the ignition.
