The 92-94 4.3L 'W' CPI engine has a balance shaft and has a metal timing cover which is different than the non-balance shaft 85-92 4.3L TBI/carb timing cover which is the same as the V8. I believe the plastic timing cover is from early 95 and up.

well the 92 up vin z also got balance shaft
91 older dont have, like my 91 vin z out here that is my DD but anyways my original posting Q is answered here, both the 4.3L vin Z, and the 305 tbi vin H from the other truck both have same timuing covers nice info to learn /know ![]() thats all i needed to knwo really thanks!! gm did away with/modified many things like this in the 90s and early 00's Last edited by fast68; 06-14-2010 at 12:54 AM. |
