Another question just for learning. So if I pulled a 8.8 rearend with 3L73 gears out of an ford explorer, could the entire assembly be swapped into a Mustang 8.8 without messing with the shims or bearings, just a straight swap? Not the entire axle, just the gear assembly and pinion?
