4-71 with intake manifold and carb
I am building an 38 Chevy pickup hotrod. It has now got an stock 350 engine(from about 1980). Take a look at my site, it is in Dutch but the pictures speak for themselves
I am looking for an blower, and i came across an 4-71 weiand blower kit. It is an rebuild blower and has driven about thousand miles after rebuild. It comes with an intake manifold for sbc, and carb. He wants to have about $1800,- for it.  My question is, what should I check to make sure the blower is in good condition. And is this a good price, I find it rather expensive for this set.

Look on the bay, the price is about 200 high. but it is in your hand and you can see it. look for loose bearings ,noise when you turn it, scars inside the case and scars on the rotors. Are the pulleys there? any different ratios, all the parts. also look on racing junk.com. jim.
