How important is it to set negative pinion angle on a 4 link? I'm thinking that the reason for negative pinion angle (at least on street cars) was for the factory suspension to allow the pinion to rotate up to a more neutral angle on hard acceleration due to the sloppy rubber bushings. With quality parts in a 4 link, this negative angle doesn't seem as necessary...

I guess my thinking is this: are you going to have the "rotation" with a properly designed 4 link? There is nothing that will give, at least not like the rubber bushed stock stuff.
