Post 4 spd Hydro

Anyone have an old dual-range 4-speed hydro they want to part with? Stock or old race modified are ok. I need a backup for the one I run.

I read a Hot Rod article a while back about a guy who runs the Hydramatic. He said he had to become an expert himself since nobody around knew about them.

If you could find that article you might be able to contact him for a source. He seemed very knowledgeable about them. I think his ride was a 55 Chev

Thanks! i would like to see that article. Yes, it is necessary to become an expert to run one of these since all the old mechanics who modified them in the 60s are retired and the new guys don't even know what they are. I even called B&M in the past to ask some questions about modifying a Dual Range Hydro and the "technical support" guy who answered the phone asked me what it was!

Yeah, I know about them because my pops remembers them from when he was young.

I will be on the lookout for that article for you. I just may still have it around.

I know quite a bit about them myself, though not an expert. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions you might have.
