I went over the installation chart again and realized that I had the reverse lever on upside down. The reverse was suppose to be disengaged (towards the front of the car)when setting up the linkage but the way I had it installed it was engaged (because it was upside down) could this have caused damage inside the tranny ??
Not unless you tried to drive it, or force it into neutral. The reverse lever in the trans is pretty beafy.
