I have a buddy that put one of the 3 speed w/OD behind a 454. Not something I would do and the jury is out on whether it will hold up to any hard use. I have a Saginaw 4 speed behind the hemi in my deuce. It was out of a truck as I had to change the input shaft bearing retainer to the smaller size. That one will not see extremely hard use though.

And yes the Saginaw did find its way into Vegas and a LOT of other GM vehicles as well.

Actually, the town came first. Thank god GM didn't put a tranny factory in French Lick!

I can hear the conversation now at the cruise in. "Hey man, check out my french lick 4 speed" LOL
