4 wheel dr

My 4 wheel dr. Stop working and not sure if it is the actuator or the motor on the side of the transmission

1st & formost,ck all the wiring to & from the actuator,solenoid,etc,& all related fuses.I've only had problems with mine 1 time & the wiring had hung something while mudding & been pulled from the plug.

Scan it. Chances are It will have a code .Probably a common problem like an encoder motor circuit (switch inside encoder is usually at fault)
It willset a code for that.
I have had them apart a time or two. They are flimsy and lightweight and not much chance of repairing it.
Dorman sells reman encoder motors for about 175.
