40 chevy truck center mounts
Now that im boxing the frame, what did you fellas use for the trans mount and rear 1/3rd.
looking online, I noticed some use an "x" configuration and some just use a ladder setup.(like stock) Its a 400sb,700r4,373 rear leaf/mii setup. i'm not sure which way to go. i'ts not going to be a race truck(our track closed down. stupid city) just a street cruiser. Any thoughts? Thanks Barry.

I did a 39 GMC a few years back. I modified the original trans mount and reused it. Fabed up a cross brace with driveline hoop to mount the ladder bars. I also ran a 2x3 brace at the end of the frame. Picks are in my gallery. Worked well for me.

Thanks for the reply. I love the truck. Thats what ideas i was looking for. i will probably use a Nice tubular trans mount and art Morrison rear oval member, sort of like what you used.
They come with 3" holes for exhaust to keep everything up high.
