I did a 39 GMC a few years back. I modified the original trans mount and reused it. Fabed up a cross brace with driveline hoop to mount the ladder bars. I also ran a 2x3 brace at the end of the frame. Picks are in my gallery. Worked well for me.

Thanks for the reply. I love the truck. Thats what ideas i was looking for. i will probably use a Nice tubular trans mount and art Morrison rear oval member, sort of like what you used.
They come with 3" holes for exhaust to keep everything up high. |
