'40 Ford gauge panel?

I'm putting a Wescott '40 dash in my '32 and I want to use SW wings gauges. I've seen a few panels using round gauges but I don't want any ,ahem, billet in the car. I guess I could sand the panel smooth and paint it, but has anyone got any other ideas or seen a really cool looking panel that would take the 5 gauges? The dash is uncut so any thing is a possiblility.

Years ago there was an article in a rod mag about replacing the gauges in a 40 panel (excepting the speedo) with modern 12V gauges straight from your Ford dealer's shelf. The secret was the gauges came from UPS truck dash panels, not a biggie, they are just stock Ford panels from some kind of cowl/chassis they were selling, a forward control chassis.
