40 Ford P/U drivers door lock

I'd like to be able to lock the drivers door from the outside. Both doors lock from the inside by pushing the lever forward.

My first choice would be to get an outside handle with a built in cylinder. So far I haven't found any. If you have a source, God bless you!

Second choice is to get a cylinder, drill the drivers door and install it like the original one on the right side. My truck has no cylinder on the right side.
Will a cylinder made for the right side operate on the left door?

Are there other options?

Help appreciated, Alan155

Here's another site that might be of help. Lots of folks here selling both original and repro parts for early Fords.
