400 Build

I finally broke down and sat all afternoon and called long distance to a bunch of machine shops to get a good deal with boring out my 400. What I would like in it is 350-400hp an 420-450 ft lbs. I need some ideas to get me here. Id like to run about 9.5-10:1 compression so I can run on premium fuel.

I would like to do the build myself. Should I have the shop put the bottem end together for me and go from there? Or should I just get them to change the cam bearings and do it myself? Its on a budget so id like to do 3/4 of it myself

Thanks in advance
