400 sbc block 350 crank bearing spacers.

i had a set of the 377 sbc bearing spacers gave to me & i have a question. on the spacer itself, it has .010" on it. wouldn't they be standard size? why would the be .010" under? what am i missing? ***? wouldn't they need to be standard for a 350 type bearing to sit in them? the part number of the bearing he had for them is 7081chb f/m .011" under.
thanks

The bearing spacer was cut from a 400 bearing that was .010 under in its original state. We used to set up these used bearings in a straight 400 block and line bore them to 350 housing size. Then saw off the thrust sides, cut notches and ... Instant 350 bearing spacers!!
