Ok! We had a 350 came back like the just after we build it one time done the same thing. What I found is that someone who finish assemble putting the accessories on the engine is they did not clean and inpect the oil filter adaptor which it have the built in oil cooler (like the one put on chevy pickups). The bypass valve was cracked and not seating along with lots of sandy grits inside the adaptor. The grits is not metal it was more like fine sand.
So we did regrind the crank and reclean the whole engine. Told them to go get a new oil filter adaptor them never had any problem. I don't that the same problem you may have, but iI would check the bypass valve on the oil filter adaptor to just in case it might be the key to your problem.

Yes I did check the oil filter bypass valve, it looks fine but I plan to change it anyway, Sam-Missle the thrust faces are the only part of the bearing that dose look good.

as machine tom asked, you should look at the main line sizing, crankshaft size and straightness, and balance.
