403 olds

how much would a stock 403 olds really make at the crank and not that 185 stuff.

I really don't know the numbers but my 1970 GTO would eat them up. This friend of mine would have to put stuff on the road to smoke the tires mine would do it without nothing. Go with a Poncho motor.

My '79 Trans Am with the Olds 403 and a automatic can still smoke the tires... barely.

i had a 403 olds that was pretty quick for a stock engine. it would melt the tires into third gear. i could put it in first gear & at a 30 mph roll fry the tires. it outrun several of the fox body gt mustangs. it was stock, with a stock 350 turbo transmission, &2.73-3.08 gears. it came out of a mid 70's station wagon & i put it in a 80 olds cutlass. i've heard lots of people that like them.
