Saw your question last night, can't believe it hasn't been answered by one of the "experts"......which I am not. Anywho, your spec's sound like this is a pretty hot build but you didn't indicate what it is for....mostly street, street/ strip, strip only, weekender, hopefully not a street racer:nono:
With the smallish heads I think a properly built and jetted 750 would work pretty well. Try that out first, you can always upgrade to larger carb but again it all depends on the application. I'm going to be running a Quick Fuel 780 on my 507" Cadillac, big engine but the rpm limit is around 5,000 so i think it should work. A lot of this stuff is trial and error.....good luck. |
Well now I see why nobody answered your question here....you double posted the same question in the engine section. Double posting is not good, you waste folks time:spank:

Im new. I accidently put it in this section and then I couldn't figure how to delete it. Sorry.:smash:

The 750 CFM carb is plenty for the cam you are using. AT 6700 RPM you are pulling 708 CFM at 90% VE. It's funny that I have the similar setup like yours.

My Tunnel Ram 11:1 406, AFR227 heads, TH350, 3500 stall converter with a shift kit and 410 gears, it is hair raising and a frame twister.

You should be able to go up to a 850 and be ok with the build you have JMO
i'm running a Holley 830 HP om my 408 street driving witout any problems . Cole :pimp: |
Thanks, But I'm very happy and I'm having a blast with the setup I got. I can feel my head pull back right off idle to 6500 RPM and no flat spot at all.
