Check Craigslist, you'll probably have a couple thousand left over. I know cause I did! And mine was completly rebuilt fresh from the machine shop with a scat crank and speed pro hyper pistons.

Check around at the automotive machine shops in the area. Oftentimes, someone will start a project with a shop and then run out of money. The shop is left holding the short block with money tied up in it. You may be able to rescue one this way for what the shop has in it. From a business standpoint, they just want their investment back and maybe a little profit, maybe not.
